WomanUp is hosting it’s 3rd annual Celebration and Awards Cermony on November 8th, they will
be honoring outstanding women professionals in our community. Please consider nominating a
colleague or woman business leader in Asheville/Buncombe for one of the three awards.
Nominations are due October 12, 2018.

Woman Entrepreneur, Best in Business
This award, sponsored by Webb Investment Services, recognizes a woman who demonstrates the transformation of her dream into the reality of a product or service and who exhibits the traits of an entrepreneur.

Woman Executive of the Year
Sponsored by Mission Health, this award recognizes a woman who exhibits leadership in her organization, profession and community. Candidates at any level of an organization may be nominated.

Sponsored by TD Bank, this award recognizes a woman working for a nonprofit who has distinguished herself in her non-profit organization, her profession, and her community.

Sponsored by Western Carolina University, this award recognizes a young woman under the age of 35 who has distinguished herself as a leader and role model to other young women.

September 21, 2018: The Council on Aging of Buncombe County is taking fundraising to new heights!

Over the Edge is a unique fundraising event in which participants experience the thrill of rappelling seven stories (100 feet) down a building in downtown Asheville, NC.

All funds raised will benefit the Council on Aging of Buncombe County to help older adults age with choice.

The Council on Aging in Buncombe County provides more than 8,000 services each year, including Senior Dining and Wellness, Minor Home Repair, Call A Ride transportation, Home Bound Food Delivery, Caregiver Respite, Medicate Education, and more.
