She and her husband, Michael, enjoy spending time with their 2 grown daughters and 2 young sons. Her family is very active in their church and works closely with the youth group. In her spare time, she likes to camp and watch her son play sports.

I like problem solving and diving deep into someone’s financial picture to see how we can add value. I enjoy getting to know our clients and building that relationship over time. There are several clients that have been with Laura as long or longer than I have and it is nice to have that history with them. I like working for Laura; she is very supportive and truly cares about her clients and employees. It gives you a good feeling to know that you work for a place where decisions aren’t made based on how it benefits the company first and the clients second.

I would say that I am the behind the scenes person. I try to keep us organized. I do a lot of the prep for client meetings; I go over all of our past notes to make sure that we remember that a client mentioned having their house on the market, wants to go over cash flow in their next meeting, or has a grandchild that they want to help with college expenses. I do a lot of the general customer service duties. If a client needs to take a withdrawal, they can call me. If they want to schedule a meeting with Laura, I can make it happen. If they have a question about some mailing that they received from Raymond James, I can research it and get back to them.

I am very passionate about my church and do a lot of work with the youth group. My church is my extended family and I have known most of the people there for over a decade.

I am a native of WNC. I live in Weaverville and I love that it is a small town where you can’t walk down main street without seeing someone you know. I like that there are families that have been here for generations. This is where my roots are and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

My husband and I have 4 children and we just welcomed a son in July of 2018. We love spending time with our family. My daughters are grown so we don’t get to spend as much time as we would like with them. My 6-year-old son is into sports so we have been involved in youth league baseball, basketball, and now Tae Kwon Do. It is so much fun to watch him. We like to camp and have a piece of land where all of my family camps together frequently throughout the summer.

Laura would tell you that I like to be in control of my environment. I dislike conflict and chaos, so I guess I would want the ability to bring order to everything around me.
