New Website September 2018

In additional to our new website, everyone on our team had a busy summer.

Most notable is that Carrie Martin expanded her family welcoming a beautiful little boy, Gabriel Edward Martin in July. As many of you know, Carrie is an important member of our team and was dearly missed during her maternity leave. We were all thrilled when she returned to work at the end of August.

Congratulations to Matt.

Matthew Donohue is the consummate learner. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner, Matt is embarking on expanding his knowledge and credentials working towards the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The designation is widely considered to be the gold standard in the field of investment analysis. The exams are given on an annual basis in June and there are three levels in total that must be passed to obtain the CFA designation. Matt passed Level I this June and will continue to study and prepare for Level II in June of 2019.

Laura Webb attended two very informative conferences this summer to expand the team’s knowledge and resources in the area of socially responsible, ESG and Impact Investing. In June she traveled to San Francisco for the 1st Barron’s Impact Investing Summit. It was an invitation only event hosting advisors from all over the country who have incorporated socially responsible investing into their investment offerings. Pax Ellevate hosted the 2nd annual Invest in Women Symposium in New York City in July. It was another action-packed day focusing on issues such as Pay Equity and Gender Diversity in Corporate Leadership and discussing how gender lens investing can drive change. With these segments of the industry growing, it is widely felt that you do not have to sacrifice return to put your money with your values anymore. We will spend more time on the topics of aligning your investments with your values in future blogs.
